LG is on a roll this year and we already know that they have more in store for us in the second half of year. Last month we already showed you the design of the Optimus L9 II (D600) and the Optimus G2 (D800), which also features the powerful Snapdragon 800-soc from Qualcomm. Today another device surfaced and it seems that it will be part of the upcoming refresh as well, considering the fact that the devices carries the model number D500 and features lower-end specifications.
The mysterious LG D500 is a new device that will be part of the Optimus-series, although we don’t actually known how the device will be named. What we do now is that the device will be sporting a 540 x 960 resolution display, LTE-support, 3-megapixel camera, three soft-keys, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and that it is running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (Build/JZO54K) with LG’s Optimus UI on top of it.
Looking at the last couple of years it seems plausible that these next-generation LG Optimus devices will arrive somewhere in the third quarter of 2013.
Update: NFC support for VISA payments is also available.
Update #2: Various images appeared on the web suggesting at least a 5-megapixel shooter on the back.
