HTC already released the HTC Desire P en Desire Q this year, but both mid-rangers are exclusively available for either the Chinese or Taiwanese market, although it seems that the European market will soon see a new HTC Desire as well. Because today we discovered the benchmark results of the HTC Desire 600 Dual-SIM (CP3DUG), which also clearly shows that the device is intended for the European market.
The HTC Desire 600 will likely feature a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor that is based on the ARM Cortex A5 architecture with an Adreno 203 GPU. This system-on-a-chip has also integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, Multi-SIM support and FM. These specifications clearly indicate that this will be a low-end or mid-range device, which isn’t a surprise considering the fact that all of Desire models are aimed at this market segment. The device is running on Android 4.1.2 with HTC’s own Sense (4?) interface and has a 960 x 540 display.
Earlier this year we already saw a list of codenames from upcoming HTC smartphones and de CP3DUG was one of them. More information about this unknown HTC device is expected soon. We expect that this Android smartphone will cost around 250-300 euro’s. There is no word on when the Desire 600 is going to be announced and launched.
